| What is the proper image size for the layouts? |
|
The cover and inside pages have predetermined resolution and canvas size. Please do not change either one. Simply paste your images onto the blank templates and design your page.

| When saving images in JPEG format, which degree of compression should be used? |
|
We recommend the image quality be set to 12(Maximum) with “Baseline Optimized”.
|
What will happen if I fail to embed the color profile or use a different profile than provided on the templates?
|
|
We accept Adobe RGB and sRGB color profiles. If the color profile is not embedded, your files cannot be processed. All pages in one album layout must use the same profile throughout.
|
| Do I have to convert my files to CMYK before submitting? |
|
No. Submit your files in either Adobe RGB or sRGB. The production center will convert the files to CMYK for you.
|
| Can I upload the images through the Internet? |
|
Yes. The upload time will vary depending on your Internet connection speed, the number of pages in your book, and the size of your file.

How many AsukaBooks can I order at one time?
|
|
You can order just one copy or thousands from the same file.
|
Can I make changes after placing orders?
|
|
Carefully review all of the pages before submitting your order. Once your files have been checked and forwarded to the production center, they cannot be changed.

Can I order an ASUKABOOK by sending single digital images or film to you?
|
|
Currently, we only accept your completed digital page layouts. However, we are working on making this service available to you in the future.
|
Can I use other programs such as Quark or InDesign to create my album layout?
|
|
No. The files must be designed in Photoshop and saved as JPEGs with the predetermined document size and resolution provided in the templates.
|
Do you provide color correction and retouching services?
|
We do not retouch or color correct any of the files provided. It is your responsibility to make any corrections ahead of time.
|
Can I change the number of pages in my album?
|
Unfortunately, we cannot. In order to keep these albums reasonably priced, you must select from the preset options available.

Can I place more than one ASUKABOOK order at the same time?
|
Yes. You can submit several files for multiple printing jobs at the same time.
|
Can you provide a discount on additional copies of previously submitted files?
|
Your order is kept for 45 days from the date of submission. You may receive the additional copy price on a re-print, if the re-print request is made within the 45 day period.
|
How long does it take to print an ASUKABOOK?
|
We are processing orders within 4 weeks of receipt of files. Actual delivery time may vary depending on the destination location.
|
| Can you provide a proof sheet from my album order before it is printed? |
No. But we can mail you a flyer printed on the press with the type of paper used. You can also download the digital file that matches the image on the flyer. All you need to do is to load the digital file into Photoshop, use the proof preview method mentioned under F.A.Q. - The Book, and you should see how your monitor will match the printed piece. This is a good indication of your monitor calibration.

| What form of payment do you accept? |
We accept VISA and MasterCard. Payment in full must be received before orders can be processed.
